Richard was a devoted Dharma brother who worked hard to establish and maintain a solid center in Ohio that benefited many. I had not heard much from him for the last few years but always enjoyed seeing him when our paths crossed. I am sure he will be missed by his family and friends and I pray that the merit of his own practice and work for the sangha will pave a smooth path as his journey continues.

We were struck by Rinpoche's dharma lightening at the same moment in time in the Fall of 1973. Rinpoche gave a talk on American Karma and Tibetan Buddhism at MIT in Boston. May you always find the dharma old friend.

Richard remains a warm and generous friend. We became close during the ‘80s when we did Chakrasambhava fire puja together. He visited Toronto frequently for feasts. Lately we’d been meeting at Zoom practices where his friendly growl welcomed everyone. His passing puts an ache in my heart. His many online friends agree that Richard’s practice will guide him safely through the bardo

Richard ‘Poppo’ Weiner remains in my mind as a warm and generous friend, and a supreme practitioner. I will miss his friendly growl of greeting on the many online practice sessions we shared.
