Dear Chronicles,

I'd first like to say how much I have enjoyed Chronicles and ask you to keep up the good work. My purpose in writing though is to alert you to a flaw in your Let Loose file. After repaeated attempts to listen to the Tyler Dewar and Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche Programs ( I'm a student of Rinpoche's) I'm only able to get a couple of megs, to listen to a fraction of those programs. I've had no difficulty with the Dispatches programs. I thought you might like a heads up ( and of course I'd like to listen to the complete version!).

with palms joined,
Christopher Borko

Dear Christopher

Thank you for this heads up. There have been a number of people who have written to me about problems listening to our sound files recently. At the same time, there are many people who report that they have listened to these podcasts with no problems. I've tried making the files thinner, less dense, and, in the case of the Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche's interview on this page, I'm using a different method of streaming. So I'm not sure what to try next. Are there any web-savvy audio mavens out there with suggestions?

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm glad you enjoy the Chronicles. Please stay tuned. We'll get to the bottom of these problems.
-Walter Fordham

The opening drum theme for Let Loose is taken from Like a Ghost in the Grass by Jerry Granelli, recorded on Sandhills Reunion. The closing theme is from Drala by Peter Lieberson, recorded on Raising the Gaze. Thank you to both composers for their permission to use these excerpts from their work.
